US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema - Arizona Democrat

I voted for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)

Another pro-war, pro-police state email from US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema.

When I knew Kyrsten Sinema she was against the war and against the police state. It seems she still like to give people that line of BS, but she votes like she loves the military industrial complex and the police state.

And of course this email was prepared with YOUR tax dollars to help US Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema get re-elected.

Dear Friend,

This week, I joined a bipartisan majority of the House of Representatives to pass the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2017. The NDAA authorizes funding and sets defense policy for the coming year. This bill gives our troops a pay raise, funds programs like the A-10, Apache, and F-35 that support good Arizona jobs, and protects and improves the benefits our servicemembers have earned. It also includes amendments I offered to protect members of the Armed Forces and their families from identity theft and help servicemembers access higher education benefits.

The NDAA included an amendment I co-introduced with Congressman David Young to protect members of the Armed Forces and their families from identity theft. Our amendment directs DOD to report to Congress on efforts to protect servicemembers’ and DOD employees’ private information against identity thieves.

The NDAA also included an amendment I co-introduced with Republican Congressmen Ryan Costello and Mike Coffman to help servicemembers access higher education benefits. Our amendment requires DOD to make a plan and brief Congress on improving its efforts to inform members of the Armed Forces of their rights and resources under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. This includes helping servicemembers manage their student debt while on active duty and informing them of right to lower student loan interest rates.

We are working every day to defeat terrorist threats and keep our communities and families safe. This bipartisan legislation responsibly funds out military to ensure our men and women in uniform have the tools they need to protect our nation.

I am honored to serve in Congress on behalf of Arizona families like yours. As your representative, I always appreciate hearing from you on current topics and issues affecting you and our community.
