Homeless in Arizona

This Tempe Street car pork will cost slightly more then $11,000 a foot, or almost $1,000 an inch

This Tempe Street car pork will cost slightly more then $11,000 a foot.

I was shocked when I realized this street car pork will cost a little less then $1,000 an inch to build

Here is the real thing, so Google can index it and show the world how the members of the Tempe City Council spend our money like drunk sailors.

And I am sorry, I didn't mean to insult any drunken sailors by comparing you to the crooks on the Tempe City Council.

P*ssing our tax dollars like this is absolute rubbish and the members of the Tempe City Council need to be booted out of office. Same goes for the Arizona members of the US Congress and Senate who allow our tax dollars to be wasted like this.

Letter: Didn't anyone do the streetcar math?

Robert Wilson 6:47 p.m. MST February 14, 2016

Just a thought for those that didn't do the math on the proposed (Tempe) trolley line, three miles for only $177 million.

That works out to a mere $11,174.24 per foot, not counting the usual cost overruns.

I wonder how many miles of our decrepit streets could be repaved for that amount of money. Any idea?
