There are two groups trying to legalize marijuana in Arizona.
The evil MPP or Marijuana Policy Project is circulating petitions for it's phoney baloney law to legalize marijuana which is 99% about creating a government monopoly on recreational marijuana for the 85 or so existing medical marijuana dispensaries.
Their law will only allow a maximum of 160 retail marijuana stores in Arizona. But we suspect that only the existing 85 or so stores which currently have permits to sell medical marijuana will actually be given permits to sell recreational marijuana.
Those stores will continue to sell marijuana the rip off price of $300 and ounce.
The good guys are AZfmr or Arizonans for Mindful Regulation who have a law that will allow up to 1,600 retail recreational marijuana stores in Arizona.

If the AZfmr law is pass, an ounce of marijuana shouldn't cost any more then a 6 pack of beer, and certainly not the rip off price of $300 and ounce that the medical marijuana dispensaries want to sell it for.
