It's only rape if you don't have a gun and badge.

Sadly juries buy the line of BS that if you got a gun and a badge it's OK to rape any women that you have the hots for.

So the cop, who was armed with a gun said the sex with the woman who was probably in "handcuffs" and locked in the back of a squad car or prison cell was consensual???

Look I have always said that the government should not put people in jail who have consensual sex.

In that case I am normally referring to a 17 year old who has consensual sex with a 18 year old, and they both agree it's consensual.

My definition of consensual sex NEVER has been and never will be when a 40 year old armed police officer sticks a gun to the head of a 23 year old woman who is in the back of a squad car or a jail cell and forces her to give him a BJ while she is handcuffed.

Former Phoenix police officer acquitted of assaulting woman in his custody

A jury on Thursday found a former Phoenix police officer not guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in his custody last year.

The jury in Maricopa County Superior Court found Timothy Thomas Morris not guilty of two counts of sexual assault and one count of kidnapping.

Morris, 40, was found guilty on a misdemeanor count of false reporting. He was sentenced to six months in jail but credited for six months already served. He was scheduled to be released from custody late Thursday.

"Freedom," said Jonathan Warshaw, Morris' attorney, after the jury announced its verdicts. "He has a huge family, five kids. One got married when he was in jail. He's going to be so happy."

Morris was arrested in June 2015 after a 23-year-old woman told police she was the victim of sexual misconduct by one of their officers while she was handcuffed. Morris had retrieved the woman from Scottsdale police and was transferring her to a Maricopa County jail.

An internal investigation ensued and determined that he had retrieved the woman from Scottsdale police on June 26 in the middle of the night. According to officials, Morris, while working, engaged in sexual acts with the woman in custody while she was in handcuffs. He later returned her to her home instead of transporting her to jail.

Morris immediately admitted involvement to the detectives.

He resigned from the police department, where he had been an officer since 2008.

The case revolved around whether the oral sex between Morris and the woman was consensual.

"I think the jury felt like the victim wasn't credible. This was about consent," Warshaw said.

The prosecutor in the case declined to comment.
