Our government masters give us the line of BS that these armed robbers are about safety, but when you look at the facts it's mostly about $$$ MONEY $$$ They do things like reduce the time of the yellow lights to make increase the probability that people will run red lights. Not only does this increase the amount of money the robbers pull in, it also increases the number of accidents that happen. Red-light cameras return to Phoenix streets Brenna Goth, The Republic | azcentral.com 11:16 p.m. MST May 18, 2016 The city's photo-enforcement contractor, Redflex, now complies with the licensing required for the companies, according to Phoenix Police Department Spokesman Sgt. Jonathan Howard. The department turned off the cameras in March after Attorney General Mark Brnovich released an opinion affirming that the companies are subject to the state's private investigator requirements, Howard said in an email. Phoenix has 12 red-light cameras located at the city's "most dangerous intersections based on collision data from crash reports," Howard said. The city also deploys mobile speed cameras in school zones. Several other Valley cities are turning their cameras back on now that their contractors are in compliance with state regulations.
