Only in government is a PAID VACATION used to punishment people for rules they violate or crimes they commit.
This type of punishment is usually reserved for police officers who are accused of committing crimes. Cops routinely get weeks, months and sometimes even years of paid vacation when they are accused of crimes that would send the rest of us to prison for years. Again this is one of the reasons the Founders gave us the Second Amendment. Of course most of the atheists I know who are also gun grabbing, ACLU Democrats also demonize me for thinking that we should have 2nd Amendment rights.
Roberts: This is punishment? Only in Phoenix Laurie Roberts, The Republic | azcentral.com 1:04 p.m. MST February 12, 2016 A round of applause, if you will, for the folks who run the city of Phoenix. Clearly, they are all about excellence and accountability. Unlike other government bureaucrats, Phoenix leaders aren’t afraid to call out their employees when they make a mistake. And so comes this week’s announcement that three top city executives have been suspended. This, because they made a critical error while setting up an improvement district for Roosevelt Row. Deputy City Manager Paul Blue and Street Transportation Director Ray Dovalina each were suspended for two days. Community and Economic Development Director Chris Mackay was suspended for one day. City Manager Ed Zuercher, in announcing the punishments, called the incident a “critical lesson about accountability and preparedness.” “This was a technical glitch and they accepted responsibility for their leadership role in the incomplete work," he said. I’m guessing they not only accepted responsibility, they likely celebrated it. All three men were suspended with pay. In Phoenix city hall, that’s considered punishment. The rest of us? We call it a paid vacation.
