Source This looks like a blatantly illegal sign put up by the city of Phoenix or Valley Metro banning guns in a Valley Metro Transit Center Parking lot near Christown on 19th Avenue & Montebello in Phoenix. Under Arizona law if a government entity bans weapons or guns from a place they are required by law to let you check the guns. There are no signs telling people where to check their guns or even admitting that people should be allowed to check their guns. The Arizona law that requires the government to check weapons when they are banned from a government location is 13-3102.01. It's on the web at: http://www.azleg.gov/ars/13/03102-01.htmand it says: 13-3102.01. Storage of deadly weapons; definitionsYou should also note that the City of Phoenix lied about ARS 13-1502.A.1 applying to this sign in 4 of the 5 cases sited. ARS 13-1502.A.1 ONLY applies to trespassing and says: 1. Knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully on any real property after a reasonable request to leave by a law enforcement officer, the owner or any other person having lawful control over such property, or reasonable notice prohibiting entry.ARS 13-1502.A.1 doesn't say a single thing about weapons, skateboarding, soliciting or posting. This is another case of when our royal government masters at the City of Phoenix just make up outright lies and slap them on signs.
