If we are going to legalize marijuana we gotta do it the RIGHT way and completely LEGALIZE marijuana.
As long as we have these stupid investor driven initiatives that give monopolies on selling recreational marijuana to a few special interest groups and put anybody that cuts into their profits into prison we are going to have the drug cartels and all the problems that go with them. We need to pass a RAD or Relegalize All Drugs like initiative which completely legalize marijuana and treats marijuana like potatoes or tomatoes
Marijuana bust halts Easter egg hunt USA TODAY NETWORK Teresa Blackman, KGW-TV, Portland, Ore. 5 a.m. MST March 28, 2016 SALMON CREEK, Wash. — A neighborhood Easter egg hunt came to an abrupt halt when a man ran out of his house and started screaming that his roommates were going to shoot him. When police responded to the Salmon Creek home Saturday evening, they found more than 45 pounds of processed marijuana — worth a street value of more than $202,000 — inside the home. Clark County Sheriff's deputies said the haul was part of an on-going large-scale unlicensed marijuana distribution operation. "The operation was headquartered in a neighborhood home and it is believed that deliveries were occurring across the United Sates," said Cmdr. John Horch, with the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Salmon Creek is about 14 miles north of Portland, Ore. The families involved in the Easter egg hunt left the scene as police arrived. About 20 kids and some parents were hunting for eggs Saturday when the man came running out the house. Investigators also seized more than $108,000 in suspected drug proceeds, along with documents and materials related to the trafficking of marijuana. Lowell Kennedy, a neighbor, said the house never seemed too suspicious. "A couple of times, I've seen cars parked," said Kennedy, "and wondered why they were parked — maybe somebody at home, maybe not." Marijuana is legal in Washington, but three men in the house are in jail on trafficking charges. Charles Yorkovich, 24, Joseph Sullivan, 24, and Jordan Long, 27, all of Vancouver, Wash., were arrested at the scene. Yorkovich was booked on one count of possession with intent to deliver, while the other two were held on felony warrants out of Missouri.
