Drugs don't cause crime, the laws against drugs cause crime.
If drugs were re-legalized shootings like this would end over night. If recreational drugs were legalized, drugs would be relatively inexpensive and people would not be having shootouts over drug rip offs, which mostly occur because black market drugs are outrageously expensive.
Man found shot in Guadalupe; deputies have few leads Katie Faller, The Republic | azcentral.com 11:35 a.m. MST April 6, 2016 Deputies were investigating a shooting that sent a Guadalupe man to a hospital early Wednesday morning, according to a Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman. Deputies responded to a call at about 2:30 a.m. of shots fired at a house near Calle Guadalupe and Interstate 10. They found Roy Uriate, 44, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, according to Deputy Joaquin Enriquez. Uriate, now in a stable condition, refused to give detectives information on the suspect, Enriquez said. Investigators believed an altercation led to the shooting in the back part of the property. Detectives found a shell casing belonging to a handgun in an alley by the house but no weapon. Drug paraphernalia also was discovered in the alley. They also found blood on a rear wall outside of the home, in the carport and in the side yard. Detectives interviewed several witnesses who said they saw nothing, Enriquez said. |
