Pinal County traffic stop yields 313 pounds of pot

Probably cause??? We don't need not stinking probable cause to illegally stop your car and illegally search it.

We have guns and badges and are above the law. We got a "drug war" and we can't win it unless we flush the "Bill of Rights" down the toilet.

I suspect this car was illegally stopped by the police and illegally search.

A Laveen woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop revealed she was attempting to transport over 300 pounds of marijuana, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.

Ana Salazar, 20, was stopped by a sheriff's deputy Thursday morning for a traffic violation on Interstate 8 near mile marker 164. When the car pulled over, a man in camouflage ran from the SUV and into the desert, according to Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. The man was never located, Babeu said.

Deputies found nine bales of marijuana weighing approximately 313 pounds in the back of Salazar's SUV, according to sheriff's spokesman Mark Clark. Salazar had two prior arrests for human smuggling, according to Clark.

Salazar was arrested and booked into the Pinal County Jail on suspicion of transporting marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana for sale, Clark said.
