Tony Hart of Glendale understands that Todd Griffith, Sheila Polk and Mark Brnovich are a bunch of hypocrites on their stance keeping marijuana illegal.
Sadly Tony Hart doesn't understand that the folks at MPP or Marijuana Policy Project and their "Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol" are hypocrites just like Todd Griffith, Sheila Polk and Mark Brnovich. The phoney baloney MPP "Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol" is 99% about making millionaires out of the owners of the current 85 of so medical marijuana dispensaries by giving them a monopoly on growing and selling recreational marijuana and 1% about ending the evil draconian laws that throw people in prison for victimless marijuana crimes.
Letter: Drink and hate pot? You're a hypocrite Tony Hart 4:48 p.m. MST June 7, 2016 Todd Griffith, Sheila Polk, Mark Brnovich: Before preaching to me about the evils of marijuana, please put down your beer, vodka martini or glass of chardonnay. Pick up a mirror and look at the reflection you see. That is the face of a hypocrite. And once you've done that, look again at the name of the group that is behind the ballot measure being advanced for the legalization of marijuana: The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol. That's it. That's all it's about. Increased tax revenues, reduced prison populations, diminished cartel activity? Those are just some of the very real fringe benefits that go along with it. But essentially it is simply about regulating marijuana like alcohol. Now, on the other hand, if any of you favor reinstituting "prohibition," that's another story. While I may disagree with you, at least your hypocrisy won't show so bad. But of course, when it comes to "prohibition," not one of you has ever said a word, or ever will. —Tony Hart, Glendale
