Recreational Marijuana in the Workplace: Protecting Your Business

Source

I suspect this seminar on recreational marijuana will be against recreational marijuana? It may be interesting to attend, just to see the kind of anti-marijuana propaganda these people will be throwing at us to keep or initiative to legalize marijuana from passing.

It's hosted by the Tempe Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, July 21 from 11:30am to 1pm. It costs $35, or $25 if you are a member of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce.

It's titled "Recreational marijuana in the workplace: protecting your business".

It's put on by Gina Kesler who is the president of D&A Experts.

Recreational Marijuana in the Workplace: Protecting Your Business

Gina Kesler, President/CEO of D&A Experts, delivers this presentation for employers, human resource professionals, safety professionals and key executive management. Currently, four states have legalized the sale and use of marijuana for recreational use. Arizona could be next. We will have an initiative on the November 2016 ballot that would make recreational marijuana use legal across the state.

Those that would like to see marijuana legalized have used Colorado as the model state to reform future initiatives for other states. The people of Arizona will be asked to vote on legalizing marijuana for recreational use this November. It is important that employers are well informed on what is in this initiative NOW, how the Colorado experiment has impacted employers and how Arizona's proposed language will directly affect the workplace.

Gina Kesler is the President and CEO of D & A Experts. She has expertise in drug testing laws and marijuana statutes across each state, and helps employers apply their own drug free workplace programs within state law requirements. She implements and rolls out new or modified drug-free workplace programs and trains supervisors on how to effectively manage the program in order to reduce liability. In addition to helping businesses understand the ins/outs of a state Drug-free Workplace, Gina focuses on the U.S. Department of Transportation?s federal drug and alcohol testing for the various transportation modalities, training and compliance education.

Looks like D & A Experts and Gina Kesler have a financial interest in the "War on Drugs".

Turns out they are a drug testing company and they make more money if they keep the "War on Drugs" and "War on Marijuana" going.

Here is that their web page says:

D & A Experts provides DOT/Non-DOT Drug-Free Workplace policy, company consulting, training and education, and drug, alcohol and alternative specimen testing On-Site or at a specified location.
