MPP is going to try to shove their phony baloney marijuana monopoly legalization on us again in 2018???
I think that the people of Arizona have pretty much figured out that MPP or the Marijuana Policy Project isn't about legalizing marijuana, MPP is all about making millions for a few special interest groups in MPP that have medical marijuana monopolies. I wonder if that's why Jason Medar wants to run an initiative in 2018 - to help MPP keep RAD and Safer Arizona off of the ballot? I wondered if that the reason AZfrm or (Arizonans for Mindful Regulation) was started was to keep RAD off the ballot. Of course RAD never had a chance to get on the ballot, but the folks at MPP certainly didn't know that and certainly didn't want to risk losing their billion dolllar monopoly.
Prop 205 Supporters Say The Fight To Legalize Recreational Marijuana In Arizona Isn't Over Yet By KJZZ News Published: Thursday, November 10, 2016 - 8:55am Updated: Thursday, November 10, 2016 - 9:13am Recreational marijuana legislation was victorious in several states this week, including Maine, Massachusetts, California and Nevada. But Arizona's Proposition 205, the recreational marijuana bill, has not been decided. Pro Proposition 205 spokesmen say the measure could still win. As close to 630,000 ballots in Arizona have not yet been counted. But officials with the National Marijuana Policy Project are taking a more somber tone saying the strategy in Arizona is certainly to try again, possibly as soon as 2018. Executive director Rod Kampia said the race came down to money. "To put it in perspective, the amount of money that was spent against us in Arizona this fall exceeded the amount of money that was spent to oppose legalization in Nevada, Massachusetts and Maine combined," Kampia explained. Opponents of Prop 205 have concerns about the fact that medical marijuana dispensaries would have gotten priority for the limited recreational licenses. Gov. Doug Ducey, also a vocal opponent, said he doesn’t think any state became stronger by being stoned. |
