FALSE - TSA Approves Medical Marijuana on Planes
Oops, the folks at thejointblog.com screwed up: [Update: Within the course of an hour The TSA has removed the acceptance of medical marijuana from their website, and have posted a Tweet saying that; “We’re sorry for any confusion. A mistake was made in the database of our new “What can I bring?” tool.”]--- Remember marijuana is a CRIME under Federal law and these TSA cops COULD arrest you. That's even if their silly website says medical marijuana is OK. And remember one of the final lines in the following blurb on this says: “The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.”
TSA Approves Medical Marijuana on Planes News April 5, 2017 by Anthony Martinelli [Update: Within the course of an hour The TSA has removed the acceptance of medical marijuana from their website, and have posted a Tweet saying that; “We’re sorry for any confusion. A mistake was made in the database of our new “What can I bring?” tool.”] The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) now says it’s OK to bring medical marijuana on planes. On the TSA’s newly updated website, in a section titled What Can I Bring?, the TSA marks Yes for medical marijuana for both “carry on baggage” and “checked baggage”. “Planning ahead and packing properly can facilitate the screening process and ease your travel experience at the airport”, the page states. “Know what you can pack in your carry-on and checked baggage before arriving at the airport by reviewing the lists below.” The list includes various items that are marked red for unacceptable, yellow for acceptable with special instructions, and green for simply acceptable. Medical marijuana, on this list, is marked green. As noted on the website, however, “The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.” For a full list of what’s acceptable to bring on a flight, according to the TSA, click here.
I just checked the TSA website at www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/ and it doesn't say a word about medical marijuana or just plain old fashioned marijuana being allowed on planes. I guess I checked it AFTER that mistake about medical marijuana was found and fixed.
