A friend went to Bloom Medical Marijuana Dispensary which is at
14 S 41st PlaceIt's just north of Sky Harbor International Airport and a short walk from the Valley Metro light rail stop at 44th Street & Washington. Their phone number is (602)396-5757. Their website is http://bloomdispensary.com I'm not sure if the Bloom Dispensary is in a high crime area or not. But it's certainly in an industrial area which you don't feel comfortable walking around at night, or maybe even in the daytime. The Bloom Dispensary reminded my friend of a sleazy rip off used car lot with some sleazy high pressure salesmen who are more concerned with taking all the money out of your wallet then helping you find something that will satisfy your needs and solve your problems. Sadly medical marijuana seems to be mostly about shaking down people for money and almost nothing to do with helping sick people solve their medical problems with marijuana. Oddly unlike most other medical marijuana dispensaries you are not required to present your medical marijuana card to get into the building. When you enter the building you are forced into a waiting area where a receptionist takes your medical marijuana card and makes you wait in a lobby until a high pressure medical marijuana salesman or saleswoman is ready to wait on you. When you are finally called to enter the medical marijuana dispensary the receptionist gives your medical marijuana card to the high pressure salesman or saleswoman that will be waiting on you, and that salesperson takes you into the medical marijuana dispensary. Inside the dispensary each high pressure salesman or saleswoman has a display area where they wait on one and only one customer at a time. This is where you feel like you are in a used car lot with a high pressure sales trying to con you into buying a car that you don't want. Of course in this case they are trying to con you into buying some marijuana, which you do want, but which you don't want to pay the rip off $300+ an ounce prices. My friend was only in the saleroom for a few minutes before the high pressure salesman told him that he was kicking him out because he wasn't buying any thing. The high pressure Bloom salesman escorted my friend to the door and that was it. Wow the Bloom Dispensary really treats people who are just window shopping like sh*t. I suspect the high pressure Bloom salesman was really thinking, “Look mutherf*cker get out of here. I don't want to waste my time on you if I can't make $50 or $100 in commissions in the few minutes I had to deal with you”. My friend has been to a few other medical marijuana dispensaries in the Phoenix metro area and none of them had the high pressure salesman set up that they had at the Bloom dispensary. All of the other dispensaries he has been to just require you to present your medical marijuana card to enter the place. And once you are in you can browse around and look at the stuff in the various displays. None of the other dispensaries had a set up where each and every customer was assigned a salesman or saleswoman to follow them around. Sadly the medical marijuana business seems to be all about $$$ money $$$ and next to nothing about helping sick people who need marijuana to solve their medical need. And sadly the Bloom dispensary seems to be run by some sharp high pressure salesmen or businesmen who are experts at extracting every last cent from their customers wallets. If this is Kathy Inman's dream world of legalized medical marijuana I don't want anything to do with it. On the other hand if you are a sleaze bag rip off artist that want to become a millionaire by selling medical marijuana at rip off prices to sick people the medical marijuana business seem to be a great way to do it. You can blame the folks at the MPP or Marijuana Policy Project for the rip off nature of Arizona Medical Marijuana Act, which is Prop 203. They seem to have wrote Prop 203 to make millionaires out of the owners of the medical marijuana dispensaries. Let's hope their phoney baloney initiative to legalize recreational marijuana doesn't pass. If it does, you can certainly look forward to a lot of unpleasant experiences when people go to recreational marijuana stores run by high pressure salesmen like the people at the Bloom Dispensary. Last if you want to collect signatures to legalize marijuana for the Azfmr initiative in front of the Bloom Dispensary it seems to be in a great location. The is a sidewalk on 41st Place which you can stand on. And of course if it's a PUBLIC sidewalk as it seems to be, the dispensary can't kick you off of it. The door to the dispensary is about 5 feet from the sidewalk so you can easily yell at anybody that walks into to the dispensary, “If you want to legalize marijuana come over here and sign my petition”.Or if your one of those people that doesn't yell, but rather shows the sign which says “Sign to Legalize”you sign can be clearly seen on the sidewalk by anyone entering the dispensary. If the people drive to the dispensary, the way the parking lot is set up the people have to enter the dispensary thru the front door and that means they will have to walk within 5 feet of you, so you will be able to either yell at them or wave your sign at them. While the Bloom Dispensary seem to suck, it still may be a good place to collect signature to legalize marijuana.
